Directions
These are sandstone cliffs on the west side of the Keeweenaw. Water seeps down the cliffs to form some pretty nice ice. Climbs are generally 40'-60' long.
House-mates Chris (left) and Pete (Right) ready to try ice climbing. This is the main climbing area.
Chris on toprope. This is his second time ice climbing with me. The left side of the falls is about 70 degrees, the right is vertical to a little overhanging.
Pete untieing Chris. Note that Chris manage to pop a tool into his lip. A couple stitches and he had a nice scar.
Pete on his first climb.
Dave climbing through the overlaps on the right hand side. This was from a later trip (probably with Ed).
Dave a little later on the same climb.
